The third annual Auburn Forum for Southern Art and Culture was hosted by The Jule Museum at Auburn University on Feb. 7. The day began with morning quilting sessions led by the Mt. Willing Quilters and continued with afternoon discussions, where attendees heard about the origins of the Sew Their Names project.
The Renaissance Society of America recognized Auburn University’s interdisciplinary Kassel Hand Project, in which historians and engineers worked together to recreate a 16th-century mechanical limb for educational purposes, with its 2026 Digital Innovation Award.
Associate Professor Xaq Frohlich is currently a visiting scholar at the University of Southern Denmark, where he's studying the history of the Mediterranean diet and New Nordic cuisine.
