Each year the Department of Music offers numerous musical performances and events featuring faculty members, guest artists and students. Performances include solo recitals, chamber recitals and performances by ensembles such as the Auburn University Symphonic Band, the Auburn University Community Orchestra and the Auburn University Chamber Choir.
Ticket Purchases
Some events are free of charge and others require a purchased ticket. Unless otherwise noted, the admission price for most ticketed events is $12.50 for adults and $7.50 for children and students with a valid student ID. Tickets may be purchased in advance online, or in-person at the event location beginning approximately one hour prior to the performance. We accept cash and personal check (checks are made payable to "Music Gifts"). Students are allowed to purchase only one ticket at a time for a concert. If a student wants to buy a ticket for another student, both students must be present at the time of purchase and show valid student IDs.
Tickets for Auburn Chamber Music Society events may be purchased in advance directly through ACMS or at the door, $25 individual performance adult admission, and $10 student rush tickets (sold at the door if tickets remain available). The Department of Music does not sell or distribute ACMS tickets. The ACMS can be reached at 334-887-9379.
Events Calendar
Information on all music events can be found on the Events Calendar. The season calendar is typically set in August. Student recitals are added regularly throughout the season, so check the calendar often for those events. If an event is cancelled or the venue is changed, we will post that on the event listing in the Events Calendar. We recommend patrons check the calendar the day of a performance for any unforeseen changes.
