Brass Quintets are student groups that perform regularly on and off campus for a variety of audiences. These are audition-based groups that are open to all Auburn students. The AU Trumpet Ensemble is an audition-based student group that performs trumpet chamber music for groups of varying size. The group meets weekly and performs one recital during the semester. For more information, contact conductor Emery Harvison: (334) 844-3183, evh0006@auburn.edu.
The Horn Ensemble performs standard chamber music for multiple horns (French Horn), including small ensembles (trio and quartet) up to horn choir works. The Trombone Choir performs challenging literature including original works, arrangements, and transcriptions. These ensembles each rehearse one evening a week for ninety minutes and perform one recital per semester. The AU Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble consists of Auburn undergraduate and graduate students. The ensemble performs challenging music in performances throughout the year, with the goal of testing the idea of what tubas and euphoniums can and should do.
