Statement of Purpose

The Auburn University College of Liberal Arts Alumni Advisory Board (AAB) supports the success of the CLA and advises the CLA’s dean, administration and staff in areas of key importance to strengthen the CLA. Acting under the authority of the Dean, with appropriate support from Auburn University staff, the AAB supports the CLA as it strives for excellence in teaching, research and outreach in the liberal arts.

Some of the primary responsibilities of the AAB include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide recommendations to the CLA leadership on alumni engagement.
  • Identify fundraising opportunities to support the college’s mission, including necessary resources to effectively pursue the vision and strategic goals of the CLA.
  • Recruit students for entrance into the CLA by identifying and developing methods of recognizing and rewarding achievements.
