Brian McLoone works on topics within philosophy of biology and general philosophy of science, primarily idealization, counterfactual reasoning, confirmation, and evolutionary theory. Brian teaches courses on a range of subjects and in his teaching seeks to find those wonderful moments when philosophy can make the familiar strange.
