A career Army aviator with 24 years of service, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Elton Fowler flew as an AH-1G, Cobra pilot, a UH-1H instructor pilot, and C-12 pilot. He served as an aviation company operations officer, army airfield commander, aviation battalion S-3, and as the Commander of a Combat Aviation Support Battalion. He has held numerous staff positions at the Department of the Army, National Guard Bureau, and with the State of Alaska and Arkansas. While serving as a battalion S-3, Lt Col Fowler was the State of Alaska coordinator for aviation support during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill. Lt Col Fowler began his higher education career by serving as an Army ROTC instructor and recruitment officer at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Upon retirement from the military, Elton began a long corporate aviation career and accumulated 19 years of flight and management experience as a Part 91 corporate line captain, corporate chief pilot, and flight department manager. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and is Typed Rated in LR Jets, Lear 45, Challenger 600, 601, and 604 aircraft. Elton received his bachelor's degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK and his master's degree in human resources from National Louis University, McLane, VA.
