Tyler Wilson is an Ph.D. candidate at Auburn University. He received his M.A. in Hispanic Studies from Western Michigan University where he taught introductory Spanish classes and worked as a graduate assistant for archaeology and anthropology courses.
Wilson possesses more than ten years of teaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels. He has taught for numerous summer programs including Project NOMAD for migrant children in Van Buren County, Michigan. Wilson previously taught advanced Spanish classes at Columbia Central High School in Brooklyn, Michigan.
Wilson's research consists of Hispanics in the U.S. Civil War. He seeks to examine how Hispanics participated in the conflict, juxtaposing Union and Confederate supporters in the New Mexico Territory.
