Auburn Model United Nations team earns multiple honors at SRMUN Atlanta
The Auburn Model United Nations (MUN) team earned top recognition at the Southern Regional Model United Nations (SRMUN) conference held Nov. 20–22 in Atlanta. The team received two major delegation-wide awards: Best Position Paper (Delegation) and Distinguished Delegation for its representation of Belgium.
A Distinguished Delegation award is the second of three tiers of honors and places Auburn MUN among the top 10 teams and member states represented at a conference that included more than 60 teams and over 130 simulated member states from colleges and universities across the country.
In preparation for the conference, team members participated in briefings with the Canadian and Belgian Consulates in Atlanta. These sessions provided valuable insight into each nation’s political, social, economic and security priorities, helping students deepen their understanding of global issues and refine their work for committee sessions.
Congratulations to the Auburn MUN team for their outstanding performance and continued commitment to excellence in global engagement and experiential learning.
