Three Auburn students recognized with National Association for Music Education awards
Three Auburn University Music students received honors in November from the National Association for Music Education, or NAfME, for outstanding compositions.
The 2022 NAfME awards honor student work, aligned with NAfME’s mission of supporting music education. The Electronic Music Composition Competition highlights the effectiveness of music technology in the school curriculum. The Student Songwriters Competition celebrates original music by student songwriters.

Students received cash prizes for their compositions at the 2022 NAfME National Conference in National Harbor, Maryland.
The composition and technology program, offered by the Department of Music in the College of Liberal Arts, began in the fall of 2020. The major is designed to prepare students as composers for a wide range of musical applications. For more information, visit here.
