What is study abroad?
Study abroad programs allow you to learn about cultures and perspectives in a way that may not be possible on campus. These programs are faculty led at an overseas institution and typically 4-8 weeks long; however, there are a few semester-long programs. These programs are very popular because they offer regular Auburn University courses, a higher level of support, and opportunities to connect with other Auburn students. Most study abroad programs take place during the summer semester.
If your program is faculty-led, you will receive Auburn credit. For programs that are not faculty-led, you will need approval from the individual department where the study abroad course is offered and from the Auburn Abroad office. You will receive transfer credit for all non-faculty led programs.
Study abroad programs offered may change from semester to semester.
