FitzGerald receives NACADA Outstanding Advising Award
Carolyn FitzGerald, an associate professor in the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures, received a Certificate of Merit of the Outstanding Advising Award – Faculty Academic Advising by the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). Established in 1983, the awards honor individuals and institutions making significant impacts on academic advising. With over 14,000 members from around the globe, NACADA promotes the development of students through effective academic advising programs and personal attention.
FitzGerald teaches courses in Asian studies. Her research interests include modern Chinese literature, language, film, and drama. She received her PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2007. She is also an affiliate faculty member of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program.
